Logie Steading Art Gallery: approachable, affordable contemporary art from across Scotland

Logie Steading Art Gallery promotes approachable and affordable, contemporary art from across Scotland and further afield.

Paintings, sculpture, pottery, bronzes, glass, prints, jewellery, textiles and artists’ cards from over 100 different artists are on show at Logie’s gallery. Regular artists include Andrew Welch, Chris Adams, Jessie White, Mary Ann Rogers, Ken Ferguson, Fiona Matheson, Patricia Northcroft, Evelyn Pottie, Caroline Simmill, Sila Collins Walden, Graham Pook, Half-a-Moon, and Clare Smith, to name but a few.  Work from new artists is exhibited throughout the year; we have a rolling programme rather than specific exhibitions

Whilst the work is predominantly from Scotland, a few special items have been known to creep across the Border!

Pop-Up Exhibitions in The Square Room at Logie Steading Art Gallery

In the Square Room, within the Art Gallery, individual artists stage exhibitions on a monthly basis. This gives us the exciting opportunity to showcase new work and new artists throughout the year alongside the wide range of work in the Gallery.

Scotland Loves Local Gift Cards – Accepted at the Art Gallery!

The Scotland Loves Local campaign is a national initiative designed to encourage all those who live in Scotland to think, choose and spend local first. The Gift Card is unique to each area of Scotland, and can only be spent in businesses that have a ‘bricks and mortar’ presence in the local area – meaning that spending stays local for longer. It’s a great way to support local businesses and livelihoods. Visit www.scotlandgiftslocal.com for all the details.

Meet the owner

Panny Laing has developed her gallery since 1992 into the well-known promoter of approachable contemporary Scottish art that it is today. Panny displays art that she herself enjoys – and if this means the occasional foray across the border to bring a particular delight to this corner of Scotland then the more the merrier.

If not in the Gallery, Panny may often be found at her Farm and Garden Shop, or working in the Logie House gardens that she has spent many years developing into the tranquil and beautiful place you see today.
