As part of the Visit Moray Speyside Taste of Summer fortnight, take a visit to Logie Steading where you will be greeted by Panny Laing, the member of the Logie Estate family who looks after the Longhorns.
You can’t get much more local than the chef being able to see his produce grazing in the fields from his kitchen window, but that’s exactly the case at Logie Steading where chef John can view the cows from his kitchen window, and enjoy creating delicious meals with the fantastic Longhorn beef.
Panny will take you on a walk to see the pedigree herd of Longhorn Cattle.
You’ll hear a bit about their history, why the farm fell in love with the quiet, well-tempered breed, what’s so special about them and how they are cared for.
You’ll see the majestic mature cows and their calves, and Valiant, the stock bull; and the two year olds, all grazing in the fields
June 12th, 11.15 - 12 (approx.)
The walk is free but we do ask that you reserve a spot by booking here
