New to our shelves in the Logie Whisky & Spirits Shop are the 2020 special releases from a number of whisky distilleries in the Diageo family.  The range takes the name 'Rare by Nature', due to the limited number of bottles produced coupled with beautiful bottle and packaging designs that capture a wide range of Scotland's flora and fauna.

Taking an Autumnal theme, the 'Rare by Nature' release from Speyside's Cardhu Distillery is a very interesting 11-year old single malt, matured in a mix of new, refill and ex-bourbon casks to draw a mix of flavours.  On the nose, notes include fresh orchard pear and green apple while the creamy smooth texture reveals a taste with honey-sweet, buttery richness followed by a spicy finish and - most important on the these darker evenings - a lingering warmth.
