  • 2 can be found as soon as you enter the parking area leaving around a 35-meter journey into the main shopping area and Café.

ACCESS GENERALLY

The Steading shops and Café are all accessible for wheelchair users and others with limited mobility, excepting the upstairs of the Art Gallery and the upstairs of the Café.

While the Steading is essentially on the level, those with limited mobility should be aware that there are varying surfaces including cobbles, shallow wheelchair-friendly ramps into some of the shops and a shallow slope for wheels where the courtyard is raised by a step at the centre.

The gardens are fairly flat and the main gravel paths are wide enough for wheelchairs; the gravel is well compacted, and should not cause too many problems. The walk to the gardens from the carpark (along the tarmac drive) is approx 200 metres, and there is car parking space closer to the entrance (approx 30 metres from the garden gate) for those with less mobility.

Where there is a step, ramps have been fitted with traction grips fitted to these ramps for additional grip when wet.

TOILETS

Logie Steading has one unisex disabled toilet as well as more standard cubical toilets for men and women. All are located along the undercover walkway beside the Cafe.

Please see the following image for a view of the facilities on offer. The Steading does not offer any other supplementary accessible facilities.
