What are the Steading opening hours?

Logie House Gardens, the playground and of course the river walks are always open.
Is there parking at Logie Steading?
Yes, Logie Steading has ample free parking. We have a number of disabled spaces located close to both the Steading or gardens and an electric vehicle charger.
Can I bring a bus party or group to Logie?
We are sorry but we do not have the space or facilities to be able to accommodate bus parties or unannounced groups of more than eight.
Groups wanting to come primarily for a meal are requested to contact The Café in advance as they regret that they may not be able to serve unannounced groups, particularly at busy times.
Groups who would like to arrange a visit to the gardens are requested to contact, Panny Laing who may be able to offer a guided tour with refreshments in the Long Room.
Are all the businesses at the Steading run by Logie Estate?
No! Each business is run individually by its owner(s). We pride ourselves on the excellent and diverse collection of independent craftspeople, enthusiasts and experts that we have managed to bring together at Logie Steading.
Is Logie House open to the public?
Logie House is still very much the Laings’ family home and so is not open to the public. Logie House Gardens, however, are always open with an honesty box at the gate.
Can I eat outside?
The Café has seating both inside and outside. The outdoor seating is on picnic benches located in the courtyard outside The Café entrance. Some of the tables sit under a lean to so are a little more sheltered from the rain should it appear. In summer, parasols are provided for shade. Dogs are very welcome in these areas opposed to inside The Café itself.
There are picnic benches in the Play Park for those bringing their own snacks.
Can I cycle to Logie Steading?
Yes! The Steading is the perfect refuelling spot or cycling destination. We welcome a lot of cyclists who enjoy eating up the miles and taking in the stunning Morayshire countryside. The Steading offers bike parking, toilets and good access links, be that via tarmacked roads or via the Dava Way.

How accessible is the Steading?
Most parts of the Steading are accessible to wheelchair users and the infirm, with the exception of both the upstairs of the Art Gallery and The Café.
Due to the rural location and the nature of the old buildings, there are uneven surfaces particularly in the courtyard to consider.

Are children welcome?
Yes! Several of the shops at Logie Steading have items to interest little eyes. There is also a children’s corner with miniature furniture in the second-hand bookshop.
We have a big grassy play park, gardens open and walks of lengths to satisfy all so there’s oodles of space for energetic youngsters to roam. And when they’re all done in, The Café have a tasty children’s menu – and tempting treats for grown-ups too!
We have a series of courses, workshops and events throughout the year that are child-friendly too – from craft workshops during many of the school holidays, to family outdoor theatre productions (such as Roald Dahl) in summer to the Christmas Market in December.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes! We love dogs and Logie is a great place for walkies.
Entry in to shops is at the discretion of the shop owner. We suggest that it is best to check with each shop before entering. Guidance dogs are allowed in the shops and the Café.
There are miles of river walks where dogs can be off lead, but we ask that they remain on the lead when around the Steading and playpark.
Can we fish in the river?
Yes, fishing permits can be organised via the Estate Office on 01309 611300. Fishing is seasonal and day or week permits are available depending on the time of year.

Do you have accommodation to rent at Logie?
Accommodation on the Estate is rented on a long-let basis. Any current vacancies are displayed on the property to let page of this site.

We do not currently have any short-term holiday accommodation available.
Ace Hideaways is a unique low-impact campsite a short drive up the road from Logie Steading where there are a handful of tent pitches, bell tents and shepherd’s huts and ideal for low-key short stays at Logie.

Are other tourist activities available at Logie?
Ace Adventure is based a short drive up the road from Logie Steading, and also the home of Ace Hideaways camping and glamping. They offer white water rafting on the River Findhorn, paintball, disc golf and other outdoor activities.

We have a drone policy in place. Please review it here.
How does you EV Charger work?
The EV charger is located at the back of the Steading. It comprises 2 x 22kW 32A chargers.
To use a charger:
- Park up next to the charger, there is a bay either side so 2 vehicles can be charged at once.
- Find the QR code on the side of the charger and scan it. This will take you to the Monza app. If you don’t already have it, it’ll take you to your app store to download it. The Steading Wifi is also noted on the EV so you can connect to download the app, should you need.
- Once you’re on the app, follow the instructions on screen.
- If the have any issues, the telephone number of one of the Estate team is also on the charger.
