An Exhibition to Celebrate 100 years of place, people and community.
In 2026, Logie Steading marks a remarkable milestone – 100 years since the Steading buildings were first built as a model farm. In that time these buildings have seen many changes, from their start 100 years ago as a model farm, to the busy visitor centre we know today. All through those years, what has made this place special is the people who have lived and worked here.
This display is a chance to show the various iterations of the steading since its conception as a model farm, give some context as to the wider world and community and to share images and stories, from people who have been part of this community.
The display includes a selection of written stories and family photographs over the years from people who have lived and worked at Logie, some voice recording, Laing family cine film recordings, a timeline of the century and a display of old tools, equipment and paraphernalia found on the estate dating from the past hundred years.
Exhibition with thanks to the Findhorn Interpretative Trust and also and especially to the people who have taken time to share their family stories and pictures with us.
