30 Sep to 4 Oct: The Circus of Dreams by Vision Mechanics with Findhorn Bay Arts Festival

Step inside the world of The Circus of Dreams — an intimate and magical new marionette production created by Vision Mechanics.

Presented within the beautifully handcrafted Solar Stage, this extraordinary travelling theatre invites audiences into a dreamlike circus where marionettes, music, shadow animation and storytelling come together beneath the canvas of a miniature big top.

At the heart of the story is Winston Khan, a young tiger searching for where he belongs. Following a mysterious map of destiny, he travels through strange worlds filled with extraordinary characters, impossible landscapes and dreamlike encounters before finally discovering where he truly belongs.

Let Winston guide you into the Circus of Dreams, where flying pandas soar from the trapeze, juggling sheep ride unicycles, and whistling fish fill your imagination with wonder.

Created by Scottish marionette artists Symon Macintyre and Kim Bergsagel, The Circus of Dreams celebrates the endangered craft of traditional marionette theatre by bringing the extraordinary world of string puppets to new audiences.

Nothing is quite what it seems. Part performance, part installation, and part living theatre heritage, this unique experience is performed for small audiences inside a solar-powered mobile venue designed especially for rural and festival touring.
