An arts and crafts exhibition featuring a selection of local artists. Read more about the artists below.
Gill and Ian Williams will be running the exhibition daily so there’s chance to meet two of the exhibition’s artists.

Gill Williams
Gill taught herself photography and focuses mainly on landscapes, auroras and underwater images.
She uses her photography as a base from which to paint from. She particularly loves detail and found that her paintings were becoming smaller and more intricate. Her miniatures are in oil and on a variety of bases ranging from clam shells, ceramic alumina, polymin and acrylic tiles.
In 2023, 2024 and 2025 she had work accepted for the Royal Society of Miniature Artists at the Bankside Gallery in London. Her work is mainly Scottish landscapes and wildlife and full of tiny detail.
She is currentlyproducing a series of large oil paintings of Scottish lighthouses.
Ian Williams
Ian Williams BA(Hons) has continued over the years sketching wild life, mainly in the Highlands of Scotland. Through the ongoing technological advancements Ian has been able to translate his two dimensional images into 3 dimensional sculptures. His metal sketches are his latest artist pieces.
Will Hall Bespoke Furniture Making
In his work, Will likes to use native hardwoods because of the beauty and intrinsic value in the product. Our own Scottish timbers lend themselves to one off unique pieces rather than mass production. He works mainly in Elm and Oak, Ash, Sycamore and Yew. Will feels happy to promote a quality homegrown product which helps to sustain our hardwood timber industry.
His own work is heavily influenced in style by the Arts and Crafts movement and specific designers like Eileen Gray and Etore Sottsass. He has a love of abstract art and sculpture and is inspired by a variety of imagery including industrial design, maps and landscapes.
Will has been a furniture maker now for over 25 years and he still finds his job both satisfying and rewarding to do. He feels very fortunate to have a career that combines both design and creativity with practical woodworking skills.
When we use trees efficciently and with the utmost respect, we have one of the greatest renewable resources on earth.
Jackie Hitchens
Jackie is a native of Cornwall who draws her creative energy from the rich wildlife and stunning landscapes of West Penwith, where she spent her formative years. After fulfilling family responsibilities and contributing to her community, she seized the opportunity to delve into her true passion painting and drawing.
With a wealth of experience in the Cornish art scene, she, together with her family, made the heartfelt decision to relocate to the Highlands of Scotland, to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
The dramatic Scottish terrain and diverse wildlife provided her with fresh inspiration, offering a departure from the familiar landscapes of her earlier work.
Now immersed in the vibrant art community of the Highlands, she actively participates in local fairs, markets and with galleries, sharing my expertise through art and book binding workshops.
These workshops attract participants from across Scotland , offering them the opportunity to explore their creativity in breathtaking locations such as Logie Steading and Moniack Mhor Creative Writing Centre.

Gail Ruck
Gail is a self-taught leather crafter whose work is inspired by the individuality of each hide she uses. Based in the Highlands of Scotland, she creatives handcrafted pieces ranging from bags and journals to textured book covers, gift items, and imaginative designs such as mythical creatures. Each piece reflects her belief that leather’s natural markings and imperfections should be celebrated and transformed into something both functional and beautiful.
Anny Rideout
Anny Rideout is an artist & designer who travels extensively across the highlands & islands taking inspiration for her art & textile designs.
Living in Inverness-shire and working from her studio and gallery at the Seed Kiln in Cawdor located on the village green.
She is inspired to create and produce high quality and handmade and textile designs using locally and sustainably sourced materials.
Each item is crafted with passion to incorporate the colours of the Highlands & islands of Scotland.
Eleanor Honeyborne-Heaney
Eleanor works in her studio creating pieces using acrylic, mixed media & on occasion oils. Subjects are primarily landscapes, crofts, foliage & deep-sea creatures.
Recent pieces have been focused around the Dava Moor, the moody sky, the ever-changing light, the red roofs on the crofts & the solitude have been an inspiration for her to explore.
As well as painting, Eleanor makes resin jewellery, many pieces incorporate items found whilst out walking, including feathers, leaves & flowers.
Proprietor of Full Circle Gallery at The High St Merchants, Grantown on Spey, she always has a collection of work displayed there. When she isn’t busy serving guests, she is happily found creating in her studio.

Ellen Thornell
Ellen Thornell is a photographer, crafter and designer based in the Cairngorms. Her work is inspired by the Highlands. Last year she was awarded an Al Business Excellence Award for her unique designs. Her photographs are published nationally and in the local paper.
Ellen makes stunningly unique messenger bags and cushions using Harris Tweed ® and her own beautiful fabric which she has designed herself, featuring her photographs.
With her own fabric, Ellen also makes fleece and jersey snoods, beanies, place mats and tote bags. She loves making her own jewellery too.
In her spare time, Ellen enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and walking whilst exploring the Scottish Highlands and Islands, as well as the colder and wilder parts of the world. She specialises in landscape, wildlife and travel photography, and anything that catches her eye!
Lorna Fraser
Lorna Fraser is a graduate of Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, and has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Her porcelain work is inspired by the botanical world. The imagery on her bespoke vases comes from the pressed plant specimens that she has observed in the Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
